Ádám Liber is a partner at Provaris Varga & Partners and Co-Head of its Digital and Technology Law Team. He specializes in data protection, information technology law, intellectual property law, and competition law. Ádám is recognized by international legal ranking organizations, including Chambers and Partners and Legal500, as one of Hungary’s leading lawyers in the fields of Technology, Media, and Telecommunications Law.

Ádám holds multiple international privacy certifications (FIP, CIPP/E, CIPM). He is a certified intellectual property expert and holds LL.M. degrees in U.S. and Global Business Law and Competition Law. Bringing nearly two decades of professional expertise, he has been a trusted advisor to multinational and Hungarian clients on issues related to Hungarian and EU data privacy laws, digital services, international data transfers, complex outsourcing transactions, and compliance matters. He has successfully represented clients in high-stakes investigations, audits, and disputes before Hungarian authorities and courts, particularly in cases involving digital technologies and regulatory compliance.

He is a frequent speaker at conferences and regularly publishes professional articles. Ádám lectures on data protection law and corporate compliance in postgraduate programs, including the LL.M. programs at the Faculty of Law of Péter Pázmány Catholic University and Gáspár Károli University of the Reformed Church. Additionally, he serves as a compliance instructor at the International Training Centre for Bankers, a lecturer in the professional training program of the Budapest Bar Association, and a speaker on competition law in the certified industrial property training programs of the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office.

Ádám is the Vice-President of the Hungarian Corporate Compliance Society, where he leads the Data Protection and Technology Working Group, and the Secretary General of the Hungarian Association of Competition Law. Internationally, he is an external expert in the European Data Protection Board’s Support Pool of Experts Programme. He also serves on the Legal Advisory Committee of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Forum, operated by the Council of Hungarian Internet Service Providers, where he provides expertise on domain disputes and contributes to the forum’s high-quality and reliable operation.
