István is an associate focusing on litigation and business law. István also holds the position of assistant lecturer at the Department of Civil Procedure at the Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Faculty of Law, Budapest. István was admitted to the bar in 2014.​

István graduated from ELTE Faculty of Law with a JD degree (summa cum laude) in 2010. During his academic studies, he was a student assistant at the Department of Civil Procedure and after graduation he became a PhD student of the department. Between 2015 and 2016 he participated in the codification of the new Hungarian Code of Civil Procedure in the fields of taking of evidence, parties and collective redress. He was a member of several Codification Working Committees and co-author of the civil procedural code’s Expert Proposal.
