Pál graduated summa cum laude from the Faculty of Law at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest in 2025. During his studies, he devoted particular attention to civil law and civil procedural law, as well as private international law. In 2023 he was awarded a special prize at the 36th National Scientific Students’ Conference (OTDK) for his paper on international commercial courts, presented in the civil procedure section. In the same year, he also received the award for the best oral presentation in the competition.

Two years later, at the same national competition, he achieved third place in the civil law section with a paper addressing novel liability issues arising in the context of the spread of artificial intelligence. In addition to these academic achievements, he obtained several further distinctions at both national and international competitions. In 2024, he and his team placed first in the national EU law case-solving competition, and he placed second in the national civil law case-solving competition, in the complex respondent category.

Also in 2024, he and his team received special commendation from the jury at the Junior European Crystal Scales of Justice Prize, organized by the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) under the auspices of the Council of Europe— as the first Hungarian team to earn such recognition.

In the 2024–2025 academic year, he reached a historic milestone as a member of the first Hungarian team to advance to the elimination rounds of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, the world’s most prestigious moot court competition in the field of international commercial arbitration. During the oral proceedings, Pál presented arguments on procedural issues on behalf of the respondent. The team was eventually honored with the „Eric. E. Bergsten Award – Honorable Mention I.”

As an Erasmus student, he studied at the Faculty of Law of Ruprecht Karls University in Heidelberg, where he undertook studies in comparative and international civil procedure. While still a student, he became actively involved in academic life as a student assistant (demonstrator) at ELTE’s Department of Civil Procedure. In parallel, he founded and served for four consecutive years as the chief organizer of the V4+ Law Student Summit, the largest international legal conference organized by students in the Central European region.

Throughout his studies, Pál was awarded several scholarships, including the AURUM Foundation undergraduate scholarship, the University Researcher Scholarship Program (EKÖP) funded by the National Research, Development and Innovation Office of Hungary, and the Deák Ferenc Scholarship granted by the Ministry of Justice Hungary. In recognition of his academic achievements and contributions to the legal scholarly community, he received the Hajnóczy Prize awarded by the Dean of ELTE Faculty of Law.

In 2025, Pál commenced his PhD studies at the Department of Civil Procedure at ELTE. His research focuses on facilitating access to justice in cross-border dispute resolution.
