On July 4, 2026, Semmelweis University and Westpfalz-Klinikum Kaiserslautern signed an international cooperation agreement in the fields of medical education and research. As part of this ten-year partnership, Semmelweis University will establish its second campus in Germany. The cooperation will enable German students to earn an internationally recognised medical degree within the educational curriculum of Semmelweis University, while also expanding opportunities for Semmelweis students to continue their studies in a leading clinical environment in Germany.

The partnership extends beyond education. The parties aim to strengthen their research and development collaboration, with a particular focus on joint projects at the intersection of information technology, artificial intelligence and life sciences. The initiative further reinforces Semmelweis University’s international standing while contributing to closer healthcare and scientific cooperation between Central Europe and Germany.

PROVARIS is proud to have supported the Parties throughout this landmark project by developing the legal framework governing their cooperation, always guided by the confidence and trust placed in our team.
